This is your chance to be a part of one of three different theatrical productions this summer. Whichever you choose, you’ll have an unforgettable experience with acting, singing, dancing, costumes, setting lights, gathering props, creating sets and more!

Theatre production for grades 7-12
Directed by Ardis Mangione

 

A high-spirited musical romp that has all of New York dancing the Charleston! This zany musical tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who moves to New York in search of a new life in a city full of intrigue and jazz.  Set in a time when women were entering the workforce and social behavior was changing forever, this stage version includes new songs and fantastic dance numbers that will entertain all!


Program Dates: July 6-29, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. 

Auditions: June 21, 3-5 p.m., BHS Auditorium

Callbacks : June 22, 3-5 p.m., BHS Auditorium

Performances:  July 28 at 7 p.m. and July 29 at 2 p.m.



 


Theatre production for grades 4-12

Directed by Brian Bohrer


 

Annie is the story of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel and bitter Miss Hannigan.  In one adventure after another, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil schemes, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new family and home in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.


Program Dates: July 6-29, Mon-Fri, 1-5 p.m.

Auditions: June 12, 12-4 p.m., BHS Auditorium 

Performances: July 28 at 2 p.m. and July 29 at 7 p.m.



 


Theatre production for grades 9-12

Directed by Larry Dugan


Footloose is the story of a big city kid from Chicago who is forced to move to a small town where dancing and rock’n’roll are forbidden. This high-energy musical celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people as the rockin’ rhythm of dynamic songs in this explosive movie musical come to life on the Brighton Summer Arts stage.


Program Dates: June 28 - July 23, Mon-Fri, 5:30-8 p.m.

Auditions: June 19, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., BHS Auditorium

Performances:  July 22-23 at 7 p.m.
