Art at Council Rock & French Road Elementary Schools

At the elementary school level, all students have the opportunity to participate in classroom art beginning in first grade.  It is here that they begin to learn how to translate their visual perceptions of the world through observation and application.

Students begin to learn about who they are and how art can be a form of self-expression.  Connections are made to other curricular areas, the seasons, literature, culture, and 6 + 1 Traits of Writing and "Read, Write, Talk".

French Road students' art work has been published in "The Magic Dragon" magazine!
